Local economic development initiatives in the communities of Northeast Ohio play an essential role in growing our region’s economy.

The regional initiatives under this action plan augment and complement local initiatives.

Implementing this action plan requires open, active collaboration among all sectors and the full engagement and ongoing participation of the public.

By endorsing the action plan, partners are making a long-term commitment to collaborate with others in the region to address the four action areas and accompanying strategies.

Each partner will take leadership and support a specific initiative or initiatives where they are best positioned to generate the best results.

Partners do not assume responsibility for implementing all of the strategies and initiatives.

Partners will work with other sectors and organizations in the region to identify and recruit champions responsible for leading initiatives.

Partners will collaborate to identify, shape and implement planned and new initiatives to meet regional economic development challenges and opportunities.

This action plan will evolve to meet the shifting needs of the region and capabilities of the plan’s partners. We fully anticipate that new initiatives will be developed and existing initiatives may be dropped or redirected if they do not produce desired results.

The Fund for Our Economic Future will be responsible for measuring the results of the action plan and communicating progress to the partners and the region.
