Building Up the Wind Industry
Categories:
One of the strategies of Advance Northeast Ohio is to encourage the development of new industries, such as renewable energy. There's been tremendous progress in this arena over the last few years, and it was on display recently at a program hosted by WIRE-Net. That organization recently shared the following information with us: Over 150 Ohio manufacturers descended upon the Great Lakes Institute for Energy Innovation at Case School of Engineering for the first of five regional WIND Supply Chain workshops presented by WIRE-Net's Great Lakes Wind Network. They came to hear about:
The enthusiastic crowd learned how their manufacturing businesses could fit into the wind supply chain from experts including Tom Maves from the Ohio Energy Office of the Ohio Department of Development, John Grabner, President of Cardinal Fastener and Specialty Co., Inc., and GLWN's own Ed Weston and Matt Garran. You might want to join us for one of the upcoming workshops. . . if you operate a factory in Ohio that produces power electronics, control systems, hydraulics, fasteners, brakes, blades, nacelles, or supplemental equipment for the wind industry such as ladders, elevators, hoists, fire suppression, lighting, or meteorological equipment. . . or if you operate a foundry, forge, machine shop, or fabricating plant in Ohio.
These half-day events will answer your questions about how your company can benefit by becoming part of the fast-growing wind market. For more information, contact Dee Holody at 216.588.1440, ext 126. Register online today. Trackback URL for this post:http://38.98.53.40/trackback/460
