Partnership for Growth Continues
Categories:
The Western Reserve Port Authority and Youngstown-Warren Regional Chamber have renewed their partnership to promote economic development in Trumbull and Mahoning counties. The agreement combines the authority’s financing capabilities with the outreach capacity of the chamber’s five-member Economic Development Action Team, which is engaged in recruiting new firms to the Mahoning Valley and assisting companies to stay and expand. Last year the two organizations worked together on a $45 million development project with TransLoad America. Read the Youngstown Vindicator story on the partnership here. These kind of public-private partnerships can be very effective ways for communities in Northeast Ohio to spur economic development. In Wayne County, both the city of Wooster and Wayne County government support the Wayne Economic Development Council's economic development efforts.
